**Job Summary:**

TheSupplier Quality Engineerposition will lead allQuality Engineering activities and projects that engage suppliers for the I2 and Precedent product platforms at the Lynn Haven Manufacturing site. The position will report directly to the Quality & Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

**Responsibilities:**

This role requires strong engineering experience with specific expertise in supplier management, NPD and VAVE delivery, and non-conformance management. In collaboration with cross-functional team members fromISC Engineering, Materials, Logistics and Customer Experience, this role will engage our suppliers to improve the Quality of incoming materials and build supplier relationships that ensures stability of the supply chain to the Lynn Haven Manufacturing site. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to influence and guide others in the decision making processes throughout product/project life-cycle while possessing the following:

+ Ability to function well in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
+ Ability to lead a team to execute and deliver business results
+ Ability to effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors
+ Ability to dive deep into financials and cost/budget analysis
+ Ability and willing to perform technical aspects of the position

Core responsibilities include:

+ Drive continuous improvements of our suppliers through the use of lean six sigma principles, utilizing the IR Business Operating Standards for Quality and Operational Excellence.
+ Work closely with Design and Sustaining Engineering to develop Value Engineering opportunities to reduce overall cost and drive productivity and quality improvements.
+ Work collaboratively with Packaging Engineering on packaging designs and materials to facilitate line side presentation and flow of materials and in support of PFEP
+ Perform all aspects of PPAP activities to support NPD, VAVE, and any other sourced material changes.
+ Issue, review, and approve all SCAR activity for the facility. Maintains an average SCAR closure average of 30 calendar days or less.
+ Ownership of the Non-Conforming Material process for the Lynn Haven Manufacturing site.
+ Resolution of quality/MRB items, disposition of MRB and in line quality issues following correct SBU and QMS processes.
+ Writes new process instructions and standards as necessary and develops training materials and trains users in all tools, measurements and procedures required.
+ Leads Supplier Quality and Non-Conforming Material MDI Board meetings.
+ Leverage outside resources, best practices, internal consulting and past experience to ensure that business objectives in component and supplier quality improvement are met.

**Qualifications:**

+ BS or MS degree in Engineering or related technical field required
+ 1 to 5 plus years of experience in manufacturing engineering and quality management
+ Experience in engineering systems to include CAD, PLM and MES systems. Pro Engineer and Windchill PLM experience and knowledge preferred
+ Knowledge and understanding of advanced quality planning tools, including FMEAs and Control plans, to meet Quality requirements and targets
+ Ability to participate in design reviews and assist during validation and qualification, to include safety and ergonomics
+ Experience with lean principles and techniques to include Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction and Process Balancing, Yokoten, 5S, Set Up Reduction (SMED), and Kanban
+ Ability to provide feedback to suppliers and trading partners regarding quality issues and continuous improvement opportunities
+ Experience in manufacturing and warehouse environments
+ Knowledge of Materials Management and Logistics practices
+ Working knowledge of ERP systems
+ Exceptional analytical and detail problem solving skills
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Professional certification (CPM, CQE, APICS, CQM, PE) is a plus .
