Position Summary
Provide leadership and support for manufacture of umbilicals within a production environment. Operate various equipment (set-up tear-down) with proficiency and proviide mentoring to other operators. Provide suggestions and ideas for process improvement and efficiencies for each design-to-build product.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Perform all functions for required set-up, run and trouble-shooting for all competent Work Centers.
* Has completed all training and Work Center requirements for a Senior Operator.
* Has obtained at least three Work Center Competencies and has ability to maintain production run rates for all equipment assigned as competent through Training Progression Plan
* Proficient in extrusion operation, electrical cable assembly, armor machine, and cabler functionality.
* Capabilities to mentor and assess other employees on key Work Centers for advancement.
* Perform work within a strong safety and quality culture.
* Provide leadership to a team of operators, including tool box talks and sharing of lessons learned from one shift to another.
* Work with other teams in the design, manufacturing and quality of umbilical products.
* Input for updates to JSEA's, work instructions and process maps. Participate on teams for continuous improvements.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**
* This position has NO supervisory responsibilities. -
**Reporting Relationship**
* Reports to Supervisor, Production .
* May have work directed by Quality, Engineering, Testing or Project Manager
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Must have 5-7 years of experience working with extrusion equipment required.
* Must be able to pass competency assessment for various work centers and special skills for senior operator within 1 year of hire.
* Must have the ability to acquire a TWIC (Transportation Worker's Identification Card) for access to Port of Panama City.
* Experience in manufacturing components for the oil and gas industry preferred.

**Working Conditions**
This position is considered SHOP/INDOORS and SHOP/OUTDOORS WORK which is characterized as follows.
* The work environment for the employee in the above position is indoors but infrequently may be outdoors.
* The employee works on a concrete floor which consists of tripping hazards such as tools, motors, boxes and other equipment which will need to be stepped over or around.
* Employees must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
* Employee must climb stairs to the second floor for training, meetings, etc. The employee will regularly and continuously stand, climb stairs and ladders and must balance, stoop, kneel, and squat. Must use repetitive movements, work at a rapid pace, have sense of touch, depth perception, color vision and will be exposed to dust.
* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. May be required to use hand truck, forklift or overhead crane, if qualified, to move equipment or supplies.
* Employee must be able to speak clearly, hear in all ranges, particularly speech range. The employee must be able to read and see at a distance.
* The employee will exert 35 pounds of force pulling and/or pushing occasionally and/or 25 pounds of force pulling and/or pushing frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force pulling and/or pushing continuously to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. This is considered heavy work.
